Child Safety and Media Consent Policy

Bhaav Sangeet Vidhyalaya Last Updated: August 2026

  1. Introduction

Bhaav Sangeet Vidhyalaya (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Academy”) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students, including children. This Child Safety & Media Consent Policy outlines the measures we take to protect the wellbeing of our young students and our practices regarding the use of photographs and videos.

  1. Our Commitment to Child Safety

The Academy is committed to:

  • Providing a safe and secure environment for all students during classes, rehearsals, and performances
  • Ensuring that all instructors and staff conduct themselves professionally and respectfully toward students at all times
  • Taking any concerns regarding student safety or wellbeing seriously and addressing them promptly
  • Maintaining appropriate supervision of students during academy hours and events
  1. Minimum Age & Guardian Involvement
  • The Academy accepts students aged 7 years and above.
  • For all students under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be involved in the enrollment process and remains the primary point of contact for the Academy regarding the student’s attendance, progress, and wellbeing.
  1. Classroom Environment & Parent/Guardian Access
  • To maintain a focused and distraction-free learning environment, parents/guardians are generally not permitted to remain inside the classroom during regular class sessions.
  • Parents/guardians are welcome to drop off and pick up their children at the academy premises and may contact the Academy at any time regarding their child’s progress or any concerns.
  • The Academy maintains appropriate staff supervision of students during class time to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  1. Reporting Concerns

Parents/guardians or students who have any concern regarding a child’s safety, wellbeing, or conduct of any instructor or staff member are encouraged to report it immediately to the Academy through:

  • Phone: 01-5929045 | 9823050770
  • Email: info@bhaavsangeet.com
  • In-Person: Visit our academy at Budhanilkantha–9, Mandikhatar, Kathmandu

All concerns will be treated seriously and handled with appropriate confidentiality and care.

  1. Photography & Video Recording

As part of our academy activities, we may photograph or record students during classes, rehearsals, recitals, concerts, and other academy events, for purposes such as:

  • Documenting student progress and academy activities
  • Sharing on the Academy’s website and official social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Promotional and educational purposes related to the Academy’s programs
  1. Parental Consent for Media Use
  • We obtain prior consent from a parent or legal guardian before using any photograph or video of a student (under 18) on our website or social media platforms.
  • Consent is typically obtained at the time of enrollment or before a specific event/performance where media may be captured.
  • Parents/guardians have the right to decline consent for their child’s photo/video to be used publicly, and the Academy will respect this decision.
  • Parents/guardians may withdraw previously given consent at any time by contacting us at info@bhaavsangeet.com. Upon such request, we will make reasonable efforts to remove the relevant media from our website and social media within a reasonable timeframe.
  1. Use and Storage of Media
  • Media captured is used solely for the purposes stated in Section 6 and is not sold, licensed, or provided to third parties for commercial use.
  • We take reasonable measures to store media securely and limit access to authorized academy staff.
  1. Code of Conduct for Staff & Instructors

All instructors and staff at Bhaav Sangeet Vidhyalaya are expected to:

  • Treat all students with respect, patience, and professionalism
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries with students at all times
  • Avoid any form of physical, verbal, or emotional mistreatment of students
  • Report any safety concerns regarding students to academy management immediately
